2007December 14 – Merit Biotech Inc. established (formerly CytoBiotech, Inc. and was renamed in May 2009 by the board of directors). The company integrated cutting-edge pharmaceutical development technologies of U.S., Japan and Taiwan and specialized in the application of therapeutic protein in animal care and drug development.

2009February - Became the first company in Taiwan to obtain the license and permission for animal new drug development

2009June 19 - Became listed on the emerging stock exchange and the first agricultural biotechnology company in Taiwan to be publicly listed (TWO: 4740)

2010January 28 – Entered a joint-venture with Yurun Group in Jiangsu to collaborate in the development of agricultural biotechnology. Yurun Group is the largest meat product manufacturing business in China and is listed on the HKEX, with current market value exceeding HK$ 30 billion.

2010June – Made international deployments to expand operations from animal therapeutic protein drug development and animal preventive medicine to the integration of animal husbandry industry value chain

2015 Ranked in Deloitte AP Technology Fast 500 for 2015

2015 October – Increased US$ 6 million in capital from the Chairman of Win Semiconductors towards the establishment of Merit Biotech Inc. and became the new company’s primary stockholder.

2015 November 16 – Entered into a joint-venture with COFCO Meat Investment with the operational goal of producing 500,000 pigs on a yearly basis.

2016 July 1 – Merit Biotech Inc. delisted from TWO.

2016 November 1 – Established Chainwin Agriculture & Animal Technology (Cayman Islands) Ltd. and relocated to Floor 13, No. 606, Ruiguang Road, Neihu District, Taipei City.
